Maria Dennis

Maria Dennis has been a part of the Mt. SAC Women’s Volleyball Program since 1995.  During her tenure, over 80 of her former players have garnered All-South Coast Conference 1st or 2nd team accolades.

In the past ten years, the Mounties have advanced to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Regional Play-Offs, nine times and have finished in the top three of the South Coast Conference every season.    

In 2011, the team placed second in the South Coast Conference and earned the highest regional (4th) and state seed (6th) in the history of the college. The team finished the season in the second round of playoffs with an outstanding record of 20 wins and 5 losses. For her efforts, Coach Dennis was named the 2011 South Coast Conference Women's Volleyball Coach of the Year

Coach Dennis played for the Mounties in 1994, leading the team to a 14 win and 5 loss season record and a second round Southern California Championship appearance.  She was named to the All-State First Team and First Team All-South Coast Conference. 

Coach Dennis received her Bachelor’s Degree in Russia, where she played and coached competitive volleyball.  She resides in Diamond Bar with her husband Harold.  In her spare time, Dennis enjoys traveling and going to the beach.
