Costa Mesa, Calif. – In their first conference match of the 2025 season, the Mt. SAC Women's Golf Team finished second at the Costa Mesa Country Club with a team score of 334. Orange Coast College maintained its dominance with a winning score of 312, while Cuyamaca placed third at 402 and Fullerton followed in fourth with 407.

Team captain Kaitlyn Wang led the way for Mt. SAC with a score of 78, followed by Kyrie Padero (82), Leah Garcia (86), and Abigail Price (88), who rounded out the team scoring. Lauren Timassy (92) and Evangeline [Last Name] (100) also competed but did not contribute to the team score.

Orange Coast's Sophia Ingle posted the lowest round of the day with a 74, continuing her strong individual play and reinforcing OCC's status as the team to beat.

Reflecting on the performance, Head Coach Art Guevara said, "We have a few growing pains to overcome. OCC was dominant, but we hope to give them a good run in a few weeks' time. We'll keep fine-tuning our skills as we gear up for the next match."

With the result, Mt. SAC moves to 3-1 in Orange Empire Conference play, sitting second behind undefeated Orange Coast (4-0).
