Mounties Blank Mt. San Jacinto for Fourth Straight Win

Menifee, Calif. – With their fourth straight win—including three shutouts—the Mt. SAC Women's Soccer Team extended their undefeated streak with a dominant 5-0 victory over Mt. San Jacinto on Monday, September 15. The win improves the Mounties' record to 4-0-3, placing them at the top of the South Coast Conference North Division. They also debuted at No. 18 in the first CCCSIA Women's Soccer State Poll of the season. Meanwhile, the Eagles dropped to 2-5-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Nadine Padilla was a powerhouse this game, opening the scoring in the 15th minute off a well-placed pass from Bella Gomez to give the Mounties an early lead. Just ten minutes later, Eden Ramirez set up Gomez, who found the back of the net to double Mt. SAC's advantage.

Right after halftime, Padilla struck again—this time assisted by Nisa Rueda—before returning the favor and setting up Maddison Shaw for the Mounties' fourth goal in the 71st minute. Sofia Torres capped off the dominant performance with a fifth goal in the 89th minute, underscoring Mt. SAC's control throughout the match.

Going five for five, the Mounties capitalized on every shot they put on target, while the Eagles managed just one shot on goal—easily saved by Mt. SAC goalkeeper Zanette Gonzalez to secure the shutout.
