
San Jacinto, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team recorded their second straight sweep on Wednesday, September 17, defeating Mt. San Jacinto 3-0 with set scores of 25-22, 25-12, and 25-18.
With the win, the No. 12-ranked Mounties improve to 7-3 on the season and remain second in the South Coast Conference North Division, just behind Pasadena City (8-3).
Meanwhile, Mt. San Jacinto drops below the .500 mark at 6-7 but continues to hold second place in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference.
The Mounties were efficient on offense, racking up 39 kills on 90 attempts for a solid .300 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Yaretzi Silva led the way with 11 kills, while Sydney Valentine added 10. Emma Carson and Eva Fisher followed with 7 and 6 kills, respectively.
Setter Morgan Wilson orchestrated the offense with 26 assists and helped lead a dominant serving effort. She, Carson, and Valentine combined for 9 service aces on the night.
Defensively, Carson also shined in the back row with a team-high 14 digs. Libero Mayah Tiscareno recorded 9 digs, while Valentine contributed 6.

The Mounties hit the road again to face Compton College (1-4) on Friday, September 19, with first serve scheduled for 6:00 PM.
