Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Taking of Rio Hondo College.

(Whittier, CA) Friday night was a total team effort as eleven players scored for the Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Team in a decisive, 81-51, win over South Coast Conference (SCC) North Division opponent, Rio Hondo College.
Mt. SAC (26-2, 7-1) ,which slipped out of the top spot in the February 8 CCCSIA State Poll, was led by sophomore forward Kali Jones (6-11 FG, 8 RB, 3 assists, steal) with 13 points.
Two other players were in double figures – sophomore guard/forward, Allyah George (5-6 FG, 2-2 FT, 2 steals, blk.) with 12 points and sophomore guard/forward Aliyah Dickson (4-8 FG, 8 RB, 3 steals), with 10.
The Mounties grabbed 55 rebounds, led by a game-high nine from sophomore forward Tshlene Bentley.
The bench came through again with 36 points and defensively, the Mounties converted 28 points off of 25 Rio Hondo turnovers.
Freshman guard Dominique McLaughlin added seven rebounds, six assists and nine points for the Mounties.
Mt. SAC will play its final two games, both SCC North Division matchups, at home, this Wednesday (L.A. Trade Tech) and Friday (Chaffey). Game times are at 7:00 pm.
