Mountie Women Keep on Rolling; Defeat Fullerton College, 90-48; Ventura College Tournament up Next

(FULLERTON) After starting the season with the Mt. SAC Tip-Off Tournament championship, the Mounties traveled to Fullerton College for a non-conference game and came away with a 90-48 win.

Four Mountie players were in double figures in the Fullerton College win, with sophomore forward Kali Jones leading all scorers with 14 points on a near-perfect 6 of 7 shooting (2 for 2 free throws).

Sophomore guard Caira Benton had 13, freshman forward Jade Hughes added 12 and freshman guard Dominique McLaughlin contributed 11 points (3 of 4, 3 pointers).

The Mounties had 38 rebounds in the game with McLaughlin leading the way with six. She also had seven assists and five steals and a blocked shot.

The Mounties now take a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday and will return to action following the "big meal" and play in the Ventura College Tournament on Friday November 25th. They will take on Taft College for a 2:00 p.m. game.
