(Norwalk, CA)  The Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Team (29-5, #2 South Seed) had an uncharacteristic first half offense that only produced 13 points.  The much anticipated match-up between the two greatest California community college women's basketball dynasties, with 6 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championships apiece, ended up a one sided affair with Ventura College (32-3, #1 South Seed) leading from the beginning and winning, 68-55.

Shaela Flynn and Sashanique Youngblood accounted for nearly half of the Mounties points.  Flynn lead the Mounties with 14 points, four steals and was the lone Mountie named to the State Championship All-Tournament Team.  Youngblood had 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Congratulations to the Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Team and coaching staff.  In the past four seasons, under the direction of Head Coach Brian Crichlow, the Mounties have amassed an incredible record of 123 wins and 12 losses (.911 win percentage), with 2 CCCAA State Championships and this years runner-up finish.
