Monterey Park, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team wrapped up an undefeated October with their ninth consecutive win, sweeping East Los Angeles College 3-0 on Friday, October 31. The victory boosts the Mounties to 18-5 overall while keeping them perfect in South Coast Conference play at 6-0. The match also marked a special milestone, as Head Coach Samantha Neely earned her 100th career win with Mt. SAC, a testament to her steady leadership and the strong program she has built.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The opening set was tighter than expected, but Mt. SAC edged ELAC 28-26. After falling behind early, the Mounties found their rhythm with key kills from Emma Carson, Eva Fisher, and Yaretzi Silva. Silva finished the set strong with a kill and service ace to secure the win.

Mt. SAC came out strong in set two, quickly building a lead behind early kills from Carson, Fisher, and Silva. A timely ace from Brianna Reyna and a serving streak from Mayah Tiscareno helped maintain momentum, and the Mounties steadily expanded their advantage to take the set 25-16.

The Mounties carried their momentum into the final set, starting with strong attacks from Kayla Staveley, and Kacey Worcester, plus a service ace from Tiscareno. Kills by Fisher and Carson helped Mt. SAC close out the set 25-17, completing the 3-0 sweep and another conference victory.
