Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Swim Team put together another impressive performance at the Mt. SAC Invite No. 2 on Friday, April 3, showing grit against a heated rival. Long Beach City once again edged the Mounties, finishing first with 934 points, while Mt. SAC claimed second with 712. Riverside City College rounded out the podium with 581 points. Coming off a close conference loss to Long Beach last week, the Mounties showed they're neck and neck with the Vikings as they prepare for the postseason.
Mt. SAC's women collected six first-place finishes, seven second-place finishes, and five third-place finishes across 58 entries. The team posted 26 personal bests and six season-best times, proving the Mounties' dedication to improvement and depth across the roster.
Spencer Damaske stole the spotlight, breaking her own school record in the 400 IM with a personal-best 4:36.54. She also took first in the 200 back (2:07.58, personal best) and the 100 IM (1:01.27, season best), cementing herself as a versatile force in the pool.
Distance swimmer Autumn Moya delivered strong performances in multiple events, winning the 1650 free (18:26.25) and earning second in both the 500 free (5:19.33) and 200 free (2:00.79, personal best), while adding a third-place finish in the 100 free (56.10, personal best).
Megan Venegas also had a big day, finishing second in the 1650 free (18:46.36, personal best) and earning third-place finishes in both the 500 free and 200 free, each with personal-best times.
In the breaststroke, Sarah Tolmasoff powered to a first-place finish in the 100 breast (1:15.20) and added a strong second-place in the 200 breast (2:40.13, season best), showcasing her consistency and technique.

With energy and confidence on the rise, the Mounties now set their sights on the SCC and Regional Diving Championships on Friday, April 10 at Riverside City College, aiming to carry their strong form into postseason competition.
