Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Swim and Dive Team defended their home pool in conference action on Friday, March 13, defeating Cerritos 203–61 and Rio Hondo 205–41.

The Mounties dove right in with a first-place finish in the 200-medley relay, as Eden Buell, Spencer Damaske, Emily Robertson, and Autumn Moya combined for a winning time of 2:00.32.

Mt. SAC's depth was on full display throughout the meet, led by several standout individual performances.

Spencer Damaske had a big day in the pool, capturing first place in both the 100 IM (1:02.51) and 200 IM (2:12.37), while also contributing to the winning 400 freestyle relay.

Autumn Moya excelled in the distance events, taking first in the 1000 freestyle (10:59.63) and 500 freestyle (5:19.41), and later helping secure the win in the 400 relay.

Megan Venegas added multiple top finishes, winning the 200 freestyle (2:09.80) and 200 butterfly (2:34.81), while also placing second in the 100 butterfly (1:07.65) and swimming on the first-place 400 relay team.

Eden Buell controlled the backstroke events, touching first in both the 100 back (1:05.25) and 200 back (2:21.25), in addition to her role in the winning relays.

Jessica Luna led the sprint group with a victory in the 50 freestyle (26.67) and 100 freestyle (57.86), while Ava Mercado added a strong second-place finish in the 50 free (26.86).

In the breaststroke events, Kieran Kirkwood Stur swept both races, finishing first in the 100 breast (1:16.63) and 200 breast (2:50.74).

Emily Robertson also earned a win in the 100 butterfly (1:05.41), adding to her contributions in the relay events.

The Mounties capped off the meet with another strong relay performance, as Damaske, Buell, Venegas, and Moya secured first place in the 400 freestyle relay (3:52.25).

The Mounties return to action Friday, March 20, as they travel to face Chaffey College in another conference matchup.
