Mt. SAC Women’s Swimming and Diving team wins 50th consecutive SCC dual; Sweeps PCC, ELAC

(Walnut, CA) With a record 50 consecutive South Coast Conference dual wins in a row, the Mt. SAC Women's Swimming and Diving team defeated Pasadena City College and East Los Angeles College Friday (March 24).

Back to the 2015 season, the Mounties have swept through the dual meet seasons en route to their incredible record.

Mt. SAC, with first-place finishes in 12 of 15 events, beat PCC, 198-60, and ELAC, 210-62.

Sophomore Parker Damaske won three events – the 50 and 100 Meter Freestyle and 100 Backstroke.

Winning two events each was sophomore Lexis Brattain – in the 200 Free and 200 Back, along with sophomore Melissa Chavez (100, 200 Breaststroke).

Other first-place finishers were: Julia De La Garza (100 Butterfly) and Madison Dorsey (200 Individual Medley).

Finishing with two seconds was Laila Topinio in the 500 and 1,000 Free.

Kelly Jackson and Brianna Solis finished 1-2 in the 1-Meter Diving event.

The Mounties (6-0 in conference) won both relays – 200 IM (Brattain, Chavez, De La Garza, Ortega) and 400 Free (Dorsey, Damaske, Topinio, Ortega).

The Mounties will compete in their last SCC dual Friday (March 31) at LBCC before the final Invite at Riverside CC Friday (April 7).
