Mt. SAC Women’s Swim team finished second at El Camino Invite

(Torrance, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Swim Team, behind sophomore Lexis Brattain's three individual first-place finishes (50, 100, and 200 Backstroke), finished second at the 2nd Annual El Camino Triple Distance Invitational on Saturday (February 4) at El Camino College.

The Mounties (83 points), finished second in the seven-team event behind Santa Monica (134). Host El Camino (43) was third, followed by Cypress and Pasadena City College who tied for fourth with 31 points, Chaffey, 6th (28), and East Los Angeles, 7th (12).

Parker Damaske and Madison Dorsey placed second in three events each. Damaske was second in the 50, 100, and 200 Backstroke, while Dorsey was second in the 100, 200, and 300 Individual Medley.

Laila Topinio was fourth in three events – 100, 200, and 500 Freestyle.

The Invite had 167 entries for the women.

The Mounties will compete in the South Coast Conference Pentathlon at ELAC on Friday, February 10th, and host the Diving on Saturday (Feb. 11).
