(Walnut, CA) Fresh off of a South Coast Conference championship for both Mt. SAC Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, they head North to De Anza College in Cupertino for the CCCAA State Championships, May 2-4.
Twenty events highlight the three-day championships for both the men and women beginning Thursday (5/2).
Sophomores Erin DeAnda and Jason Harary will lead the teams in state, as they have both had successful two-year careers for the Mounties.
DeAnda, also a top water polo player for the Mounties, recently captured both the 100 Butterfly and 100 Freestyle Individual titles, along with three relays.
Harary won a state individual title last year and is favored to repeat this year in the 400 Individual Medley. He recorded the second-fastest time in the nation last year. He also was named an All-American in nine events and has won numerous events this season.
