Women's Swimming and Diving finishes third at SCC Championships

(East Los Angeles, California)  Day three of the South Coast Coference Swimming and Diving Championships wrapped up with some big swims by the Mounties.  Sophomore Kayleigh Davidson won her third event of the meet, winning the 1650 freestyle in a time of 18:21.00.  She won the 500 Free on Thursday and was runner up in the 200 Free on Friday and anchored four of the Mounties relays.  Her efforts earned her Conference Swimmer of the Year honors.  Kayleigh has signed to swim at Cal State East Bay for the 2015-16 school year.  Mountie diver Ciara Gonzales gave the women's team forty points by winning the 1M and 3M boards April 10-11. Ciara was also recognized as the South Coast Conference Women's Diver of the Year.  Women's diving coach, Jordan Gonzales,  was named SCC Women's Diving Coach of the Year.  Both women will be competing in the CCCAA State Swimming and Diving Championships to be held at East Los Angeles College April 30-May 2, 2015.
