Walnut, Calif. – With the season well underway, the Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Team added another win after defeating Mt. San Jacinto 75-54 on Tuesday, November 18. The victory keeps the Mounties perfect at 6–0, while the Eagles drop to 4–2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Mounties got off to a slow start, trading buckets and leads with Mt. San Jacinto throughout the opening quarter. Taliyah McFerson anchored the offense early with 6 points in the paint, while Elizabeth Udeze and Makayla Haddock knocked down outside shots to give Mt. SAC a narrow 14–12 edge heading into the second.

McFerson continued to dominate inside, and Haddock drained two more threes. For the Eagles, Keslyn Henson and Karsen Marshall each added 5 points. Mt. SAC held a slim 35–32 advantage at the half.

Mt. San Jacinto struck first out of the break, with Marshall hitting a three to tie things at 35–35, but that was as close as the Eagles would get. Layups from McFerson and Dylan Tese, along with jumpers from Naomi Acuna and Udeze, helped the Mounties push the lead to double digits entering the fourth.

Tierra Taylor delivered her best stretch of the night with 6 fourth-quarter points, while Kiara Williams scored 5 to pace Mt. San Jacinto.
