Walnut, Calif. – It was a night to remember as Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Head Coach Brian Crichlow reached a monumental milestone — earning his 400th career win as the leader of the Mounties' storied program. The historic victory came on Wednesday, November 12, when Mt. SAC defeated San Diego Mesa College, 76-43.
Now in his 16th season at the helm, Crichlow continues to build one of the most respected and successful programs in California community college basketball. Under his leadership, the Mounties have earned 12 South Coast Conference Championships, 5 3C2A State Championship titles, and produced countless All-Conference, All-State, and All-American players.
Known for his family-first culture and player-centered approach, Crichlow's influence extends far beyond wins and losses. His leadership style emphasizes character, academic success, and team unity — the foundation of Mt. SAC's continued excellence.
"Coach Brian is a loving and caring leader who truly cares about both the program and his players," said Assistant Coach Shahana Zeigler. "He creates an environment that feels more like family than anything else. As an alumnus, Mt. SAC will always feel like home because of him. Mt. SAC is more than basketball — it's unity and family."
Crichlow's impact doesn't end once the final buzzer sounds. Players from years past regularly stay in touch – sending messages, coming back to visit and thanking him for the lessons and work ethic that have helped shape their success.
