(Fullerton, CA) Following a 62-59 win over Long Beach City College on Sunday, Dec. 29, the Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Team (12-5) handed Skyline College (10-7) a 61-57 defeat to claim the Colleen Riley Holiday Invitational championship at Fullerton College on Monday, Dec. 30.

The Mounties' Lauryn Manns led all players with 20 points in the championship game as teammates Taylor Shelby and Aujane Mayes added 14 and 10 points, respectively. Mychayl Phillips grabbed a team-high seven rebounds for Mt. SAC, while Hope Kakihara and Mayes tallied six boards each.

In addition to leading the team in scoring, Manns also had a game-high three blocks on the night.

Against Long Beach, Skylarr Little led the Mounties with 12 points as Manns and Shelby contributed 11 and 10, respectively.

Mt. SAC returns to action at home against Long Beach on Friday, Jan. 10, at 6 pm.
