(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Team reached the top of the California Community College Athletic Association world last season posting a 33-2 record last season and winning its eight state title and has every intention of returning this year.

The Mounties come into the 2017-18 season ranked No. 1 in the California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCWBCA) South Region Preseason Poll with 133 points.

This year Mt. SAC will feature an experienced group of sophomores, led by Dominique McLaughlin (All State 2nd Team, All SCC North 1st Team), Jon'Nae Vermillion (2016 All State 1st Team, 2016 All SCC North 1st Team), Deja Siaki, Sharmaine Hartfield and Celeste Brown. Transfer Casandra Hair (SD Christian) and freshmen MyJoi Adams, Tiana Douglas and Tianna Burrell round out the talented group of newcomers.

Mt. SAC will open up its season against San Bernardino Valley this Friday, November 3rd in the Mt. SAC Linda G. Smith Memorial Tip-Off Classic at 7:00 pm.
