The Mt. SAC Men's Water Polo Team defeated Rio Hondo College, winning 20-10 in their conference opener, on Wednesday, October 2.
The Mounties got off to a hot start, scoring nine goals in the first quarter, while limiting the Roadrunners to three. Mt. SAC maintained their lead throughout the game, preventing Rio Hondo from narrowing the gap.

Contributions came from a range of players including George Roby Unkovich, Matthew Leeworthy, Ruben Villanueva, Michael McMillan, Nico Lara, Ryan Ketring, Luke Fulkerson, Lucas Heath, Jack Painton, Parker Montgomery, John Doverspike and Sebastian Candela. Head Coach Marc Ruh commented on the match stating, "The team played very well and it was great to get the win in that first conference game of the season. We are looking forward to a very competitive conference season ahead of us."
