Mt. SAC Men's Track & Field earns respect at RCC Open

(Riverside, CA) Mt. San Antonio College athletes turned in top-three performances in 15 events at the 2024 Riverside City College Open on Friday, March 15. Competitors from a mix of clubs, community colleges, and universities participated in the 19-event meet.

Andrew Tafolla (1500 meters), Noah Gordon (800 meters), Asani Hampton (200 meters), Quintin Dukes (pole vault), and the 4x800 relay team captured first in their respective events for the Mounties.

Second-place finishers from Mt. SAC included Christian Baker (110 meter hurdles), Romello Jenkins (200 meters), and Nathaniel Zwisler (pole vault).

Rounding out the Mounties' placers with third-place finishes were Pablo Nunez (pole vault), Martin Chavez (pole vault), Terrence Sweetman (triple jump), Elijha Ellis (long jump), Aidan Villasenor (400 meter hurdles), Damien Castillo (800 meters), Thomas Scrofano (400 meters), and Noah Chairez (1500 meters).

In the pole vault, Mt. SAC vaulters took the top 10 spots.

The Mounties will next compete in the Stanford Invite at Stanford University on Friday and Saturday, March 29-30.
