Mountie Men's Track & Field shines at Kamaka Open

(Walnut, CA) At the 18-event 2024 Ron Kamaka Open at Hilmer Lodge Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 24, Mt. San Antonio College athletes placed first in six events, second in eight, and third in seven.

Asani Hampton (100 meters), Jake Jensen (200 meters), Romelio Jenkins (400 meters), Devin Paton (400 hurdles), Quintin Dukes (pole vault), and the 4x400 relay team (Josh Moringa, Thomas Scrofano, Ryan Rivituso, Jenkins) took first in their events.

Second-place finishes came from Johnathan Dvorack (javelin), Cory Gamero (discus), Pablo Nunez (pole vault), Nicholas Nocero (400 hurdles), Christian Baker (110 hurdles), Jordan Berkley (1500 meters), Caleb Harrell (200 meters), and Jake Jensen (100 meters).

Rounding out the top placings for the Mounties were Harrell (100 meters), Jenkins (200 meters), Moringa (400 meters), Nocero (110 hurdles), Reid Lockliear (400 hurdles), Paton (long jump), and Jesus Isiordia (shot put), who turned in third-place performances.

Of particular note, Mt. SAC took the top four positions in the 100 meters, and the top three spots in the 200 meters and 400 meters.
