Mountie Men's Track & Field dominates SCC Prelims

(Norwalk, CA) Through the preliminary round held on Tuesday, April 25, the Mt. San Antonio College Men's Track and Field team leads the South Coast Conference Championships with 134 points. El Camino College (23 points) and Cerritos College (21) occupy second and third place, respectively. The day's action saw the Mounties place first in eight events, second in eight more, and third in five.

First-place finishes for Mt. SAC came from Jacob Williams (100 meter), Jake Jensen (200 meters), Manuel Debarros (1500 meters), Jalen Griego (10,000 meters), Brad Riehl (400 hurdles), Ethan Amata (pole vault), Marcus Monroe (long jump), and Matthew Mannino (javelin).

Michael Stine III (javelin), Tylor Connelly (hammer), Garren Haynes (long jump), Jared Beasley (pole vault), Austin Ledgerwood (10,000 meters), Andres Chavez (1500 meters), Thomas Scafano (800 meters), and Kerry Smith (100 meters) accounted for the Mounties' second-place performances.

Third-place postings for the Mounties included Jensen (100 meters), Jonathan Aguilar (1500 meters), Louis Torres (10,000 meters), Justin Beltran (pole vault), and Jesus Isiordia (hammer).
