Mt. SAC Men’s Swimming defeats Pasadena City College, 227-42, in SCC

(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Swimming and Diving team remained perfect in South Coast Conference competition with a convincing, 227-42, win over Pasadena City College Friday (March 24).

The Mounties, 5-0 in the SCC standings, won all 15 events and swept seven of the individual events with 1-2-3 finishes.

Leading the way for Mt. SAC with three individual firsts each was sophomore Matthew Neoh in the 50 and 100 Freestyle and the 200 Backstroke, while freshman Eric Yeh won the 100 Back, 100 Free and 200 Individual Medley.

Isaiah Huerta (100 Breaststroke and Butterfly) and Samuel Slezak (500 and 1,000 Free) each won two events.

Markus Stegbuchner and Jason Matsuda won the 200 Breast and 200 Fly, respectively.

Finishing 1-2-3 in the 1 Meter Diving were: Ellis Stagg, Sebastian Burgos and Maximus Sandoval.

The Mounties won both relays – 200 Medley Relay (Neoh, Stegbuchner, Yeh, Huerta) and the 400 Free (Huerta, Slezak, Kevin Poma, Spencer Sorosky).

The Mounties will compete in their last SCC dual on Friday (March 31) at Long Beach City College before the final Invite at Riverside City next Friday (April 7).
