Mt. SAC Men’s Swimming wins El Camino Invite

New Aquatics Center at Mt. San Antonio College

(Torrance, CA) Behind four individual first-place finishes, the Mt. SAC Men's Swimming Team won the 2nd Annual El Camino Triple Distance Invitational on Saturday (February 4) at El Camino College.

The Mounties easily won the seven-team event with 179 points, followed by host El Camino, 2nd (66), Santa Monica College, 3rd (47), Chaffey, 4th (43), Cypress, 5th (20), Pasadena CC, 6th (18) and East LA College (NS).

Leading the way for the 19 Mt. SAC swimmers taking first in three events each were Isaiah Huerta, Butterfly (50, 100, 200), Matthew Neoh, Backstroke (50, 100, 200), Markus Stegbuchner, Breaststroke (50, 100, 200) and Eric Yeh, Freestyle (50, 100, 200).

In addition, Samuel Slezak had two firsts and a second in the 200, 500 and 100 Freestyle, respectively, while Kevin Poma placed second in the 500 Free and third place in the 100 and 200 Free.

The Invite had 186 entries for the men.

The Mounties will compete in the South Coast Conference Pentathlon at ELAC on Friday, February 10th, and host the Diving on Saturday (Feb. 11).
