Mt. SAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Place Third at Pasadena Invite

(Pasadena, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Swimming & Diving Team recently placed third at the 18th Annual Pasadena Invitational on April 7 with strong performances by a pair of freshmen, Jason Harary and Ryan Lin.

The Mounties finished third with 447 points behind Orange Coast and Golden West.

Harary finished with two fourths (200 Individual Medley, 1:57.74 and 200 Butterfly, 1:58.39), and a fifth (100 Backstroke, 53.56) in the 18-team event.

Lin finished with a fifth in the 400 IM (4:23.33) and a ninth in the 200 Breastroke (2:14.65).

Harary and Lin were also members of the 800 Freestyle, fifth, 7:28.45 (Harary, Lin, Zachary Anaya, Spencer Chlebowski), 200 yard Freestyle, sixth (Harary, Zachary Justus, Anaya, Eric Amancio), 400 Yard Medley, seventh (Harary, Lin, Alex Neoh, Anaya), and 400 Free, eighth (Harary, Anaya, Lin, Chlebowski) Relay teams.

Chlebowski, who is a sophomore distance specialist, finished with a sixth in the 200 Backstroke (2:03.05), seventh in the grueling 1650 Free (17:43.42), ninth in the 400 Individual Medley (4:31.36) and tenth in the 500 Free (5:04.47).

In the diving competition, Justus, Andres Jaramillo and Joseph Haddad finished 1-2-3 in both the 1 and 3 Meter events.
