Mountie Swimmers receive All American Honors

(Walnut, CA) The highest post-season honor has been bestowed upon four Mt. SAC Men's swimmers and four others received honorable mentions in an announcement from the California Community College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association.

Named an All-American, which is the top 16 times in the country, is freshman Spencer Chlebowski in three events – 500 Freestyle, 1,650 Free and the 400 Individual Medley.

Chlebowski, who was co-swimmer of the year in the South Coast Conference, was also a member of two relays, which received All-American status – the 400 and 800 Free.

The 400 Free Relay, which was No. 6 in the country, consisted of Chlebowski, sophomores Kyle Chang, Ashcon Dejbakhsh and Renen Devito. The same four were also members of the 800 Free Relay.

Chang also received an All-American Honorable Mention (top 24 in the country) in the 50 Free, 200 Free and the 200 Backstroke.

Devito earned an Honorable Mention in the 200 and 500 Free, along with sophomore Omar Heblos in the 200 Butterfly.

Two relay teams also received Honorable Mentions – 200 Free Relay (Devito, Dejbakhsh, SO Bryan Calderon and FR Zach Justus; 400 Medley Relay (Chang, Calderon, FR Alex Neoh and Dejbakhsh).
