The Mounties finish the two day event strong to defeat a very deep pool of teams including perennial Pacific Coast Conference  powerhouses Palomar and Grossmont, Western States Conference's Riverside and South Coast Conference rivals Chaffey and Pasadena City College, among others.  The overall team win was fueled by strong individual event finishes by Jason Nichols (SO, Claremont HS) in the 50 Free (1st, 22.36), 100 Free (2nd 49.13), Bennett Yuan (FR, Diamond Bar HS,) 100 Butterfly (2nd, 52.79), 200 Butterfly (3rd, 2:02.10), Aaron Clancey (FR, Walnut HS) 100 Breaststroke (3rd, 1:02.12) and Lester Chiu (SO, Walnut HS) on the 3M Diving Board.  

The Mounties will try to utilize this momentum to propel themselves past SCC rivals Cerritos College and Rio Hondo This Friday at the Marie T. Mills Aquatics Center.  The competition starts at 12:30 pm.
