Walnut, Calif. – In their fifth consecutive win, the Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Team defeated El Camino 2-1 on Friday, October 17. Hitting their stride midway through the season, the Mounties improve to 7-2-3 overall and remain the only undefeated team in South Coast Conference play at 4-0. The loss drops the Warriors to 7-4-4 overall and 2-2 in the SCC.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Mt. SAC struck first in the 18th minute with a goal from Fabian Barajas. El Camino responded in the 66th minute, leveling the match as both sides intensified their efforts. But in the final moments, Moises Prado connected with Christopher Chavez, who delivered the game-winning goal to secure the victory.

The Mounties controlled much of the match, outshooting El Camino with nine shots on goal. The Warriors' goalkeeper kept them in the game with seven saves, while Mt. SAC's Cody Lindeman recorded four key saves of his own to preserve the win.

NEXT UP:

Mt. SAC will look to extend their winning streak on Tuesday, October 21, when they travel to face LA Harbor in another conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM. Let's keep the momentum going, Mounties!
