(Covina, CA) The Mt. SAC Football Team lost for the third consecutive time in the CCCAA National Division Central Conference to Cerritos College, 36-14 Saturday night at Covina District Field.

Cerritos led 16-0 early in the third quarter and the Mounties could never recover as they fall to 4-4 overall and 0-3 in conference with two games remaining.

The Mounties' two touchdowns came on long plays, with wide receiver Damian Alloway returning a kickoff for 89 yards and running back Rachaad White (4 carries, 114 yards) scoring on a 58-yard run.

Alloway's return came with 12:02 left in the third quarter, to trail 16-7 and White scored the final TD of the game at the 14:16 mark of the fourth quarter.

Wide receivers Jonathan Schofield (2 receptions) and Chris Jackson (4 receptions) led the Mounties with 43 and 40 yards, respectively.

Mt. SAC quarterback Steven Nava was 10 of 25 for 105 yards and two interceptions.

The Mounties committed four turnovers (3 Int., 1 fumble) in the game, with two leading to a pair of Cerritos TDs.  In both cases the Mounties were driving deep inside Falcons territory, but interceptions ended the threat in the end zone.

Defensively, linebacker Tauivi Ho Ching and defensive end Elijah Golston recorded one sack apiece for the Mounties.

Mt. SAC finishes its final two conference games on the road against San Diego Mesa on Saturday November 3 and Fullerton (Yorba Linda HS) on Saturday November 10.
