The Mounties win there South Coast Conference opener by the score of 5-0. Mt. SAC was led by Derrick Penilla on the mound(W 2-0, 7IP, 7 SO, 2 BB, 3H). The Mounties had a balanced attack offensively with 8 differenct players in the lineup all with 1 hit. The key hits coming in the 4th inning by Chad Keenan (2B, RBI) and Tyler Grijalva (1B, RBI). Steven Mancilla also picked up an RBI in the 7th inning with a sac fly following a Dwight Tardy Triple.

The Mounties will travel to Cerritos on Thursday, March 7, for a 2:00 pm game. The three game series will conclude on Saturday March 9 at 12:00 pm at Mt. SAC.
