The Mt. SAC Women's Cross Country Team competed at the SoCal Preview Meet, hosted by Chaffey College, on Friday, October 4. The Mounties came in ninth place overall in the 5k race with a total time of 1:59:29 and an average time of 23:53.

Allan Hancock secured the first-place spot with a total time of 1:50:11, averaging 22:02. Riverside came in second with a total time of 1:49:34 and an average of 21:54, while Orange Coast College claimed third place with a time of 1:49:54 and an average of 21:58.

Leading the Mounties was Denise Villarreal, who finished 20th overall with a time of 21:45.7. Alondra Morales-Espinosa and Kahlai Cruser followed closely behind, finishing with times of 22:10.2 and 22:39.5, respectively. Kaylah Morgan came in 80th with a time of 24:38.1, while Hellen Sanchez and Luna Rodriguez-Vigna finished 108th and 112th with times of 28:15.9 and 28:56.0, respectively.

Originally scheduled for September 13, the meet was postponed due to local fires and poor air quality. The Mounties will next compete in the Manny Bautista Invite, hosted by San Diego Mesa, on Friday, October 11.
