Mt. SAC Women place third at Manny Bautista Invite

(San Diego, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Cross Country team placed third in the Annual Manny Bautista Invitational Friday (October 6) with five runners finishing in the top 22 positions.

The 5K race, conducted at NTC Park and organized by San Diego Mesa College, featured the participation of 10 teams and 126 runners.

The University of San Diego finished first with 29 points and four runners in the top ten, followed by Mesa (44 Pts.) and Mt. SAC (83 Pts).

Sophomore Ingrid Tamayo (19:56.83) with a 13th-place finish led the Mounties. Following Tamayo was Shandy Moore, 17th (20:05.07), Tigist Bergman, 23rd (20:23.92), Natalyn Membreno, 24th (20:26.40) and Ava Cornell, 27th (20:27.35).

The Mountie runners will next compete in their 75th Annual Mt. SAC Invitational on Friday, October 13.
