Mountie Women's Cross Country runs to first-place finish at Mt. SAC Invitational

(Walnut, CA) The 2022 edition of the Mt. SAC Invitational saw the Mt. San Antonio College Women's Cross Country team take first place with 53 points, while Glendale College (81 points) and El Camino College (113) finished second and third, respectively.

Mt. SAC's Hannah Brown posted the top time in the field of 92 runners, turning in a time of 18:14.5 on the three-mile course. Claudia Vera (6th place, 19:06.3), Cassandra Apahidean (7th, 19:07.8), Brenna Butler (20th, 20:38.9), Alondra Morales-Espinoza (23rd, 20:54.1), and Natalie Pelaez (25th, 20:55.8) rounded out the top-30 finishes for the Mounties.

Mt. SAC will take a couple of weeks off to prepare for the South Coast Conference Championships at the Palos Verdes Cross Country Course in Palos Verdes Estates on Friday, Oct. 28.
