
(San Diego, CA) In fields of 105 runners and 13 schools, the Mt. SAC Women's Cross Country Team placed first as a team with 53 points at the San Diego Mesa Invite on Friday. Cerritos (74 points) and Riverside (76) placed second and third, respectively.
Amanda Crowell (19:38.0) and Hannah Brown (20:26.6) finished third and ninth, respectively, to account for the Mounties' top-10 finishes. In addition, Mt. SAC had eight more runners finish in the meet's top 30, including Kimberly Pena (12th, 20:33.5), Claudia Vera (15th, 20:54.5), Carla Galvin (17th, 21:06.4), Kaitlyn Atkinson (18th, 21:07.5), Deanna Diaz (19th, 21:08.2), Allison Gutierrez (21st, 21:08.8), Gaby Cerrillos (25th, 21:15.7), and Trista Michael (27th, 21:32.0).
The Mounties will host the 2021 Mt. SAC Invitational on Friday, Oct. 15, at 9 a.m.
