(San Diego, CA) With 173 points, the Mt. SAC Women's Cross Country Team finished fourth in the 2019 SoCal Preview Meet at Mission Park in San Diego on Friday. Glendale (38 points), Ventura (100), and Riverside (127) rounded out the meet's top three.

Sadie Encinas clocked in with the best time for the Mounties, completing the 5K course with a time of 20:43.9, placing 17th. Teammate Yesenia Flores finished in 22nd place with a time of 21:03.2, while Kaitlyn Atkinson finished the race in 21:34.4, good enough for 29th place in a field of 209 runners.

In the initial 5CTCA Cross Country Rankings, Mt. SAC is ranked fourth in the Southern California poll and fifth in the State poll, which were released on Friday.

The Mounties will race again on Friday, Sept. 20, in the Golden West Invitational at Central Park in Huntington Beach.
