Mt. SAC Women’s Wrestling opens South Conference action with 33-24 win over ELAC

(Monterey Park, CA) In a close South Conference match, the Mt. SAC Women's Wrestling team held off host East Los Angeles College, 33-24, on Thursday, February 29.

With the Mounties holding a 27-18 lead with two matches remaining, sophomore Hayley Huynh (180 Lbs.) pinned her opponent to clinch the dual match over the Huskies.

The Mounties also received pins from Tiffany Yanagi (109), Bella Llamas (136), and Elizabeth Carrillo (148).

In the 116 Lb. weight class match, Ruby Rivas won by forfeit, and Nadia Hernandez (128) won by decision.
