Coach Jackson wins No. 300; Mounties dominate ELAC, 14-1

(Walnut, CA) In his 19th year, Mt. SAC Women's Water Polo coach Chris Jackson won his 300th game, as the Mounties defeated East Los Angeles College, 14-1, in a South Coast Conference game on Wednesday (September 21).

With the win, the Mounties are 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Leading the way for the Mounties in the one-sided victory was freshman Alyssa Fox with three goals, Fox was one of eight different goal-scorers for the Mounties.

Three players scored two goals each – Xen Allen, Briana Castillo and Danielle Lopez.

Goalies Jahanna Palmer and Ashley Hubbard shared time in the net for the Mounties.

Mt. SAC overwhelmed the Huskies in the first period with 10 goals and coasted the rest of the way.

Mt. SAC will host the 25th Annual Women's Water Polo Classic beginning Friday (September 23).
