Mounties remain unbeaten in SCC with 15-4 victory over Pasadena City

(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Water Polo team kept its perfect South Coast Conference record alive with an overwhelming, 15-4, win over visiting Pasadena City College Wednesday (Oct. 6) at the Marie T. Mills Aquatics center.

The Mounties improve to 7-9 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

Sophomore Madeline Gaitan led the team with four goals, followed by three from Elizabeth Chong and two each by Cori Burdett and Katelynn Howell.

Kelly Jackson and Jahanna Palmer split time in goal, making three and two saves, respectively.

Behind both Jackson and Palmer in the first half, and until late in the third period, the Lancers were held scoreless, until a goal was scored with 1:34 left in the period.

The Mounties built up a 7-0 lead at halftime and added eight more goals in the second half.

Mt. SAC travels to Venture for the Ventura Tournament this Friday and Saturday (Oct. 8-9). They play Santa Barbara CC on Friday.
