(Walnut, CA) With a first period nine goal scoring blitz and a shutout by goalkeeper Kristi Mertins, the Mt. SAC Women's Water Polo Team demolished East Los Angeles College, 21-0.

The Mounties evened their South Coast Conference (SCC) record at 1-1.

The Mounties scoring was spread amongst eight players, led by Erin DeAnda and Paulina Luna who each scored four goals. Reannon Urias and Janel Sepulveda added three apiece.

Three players (Brianna Baker, Rebecca Garcia and Colleen Gamboa) added two each for the Mounties.

The Mounties will take a break from SCC action and play in the West Valley College Tournament Friday and Saturday September 14-15. Their first game is Friday at 1:50 pm against Santa Rosa Junior College.
