Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team pulled out a quick win over LA Harbor on Friday, October 24, defeating them 3-0 in straight sets. With the victory, the Mounties improve to 16-5 overall and remain unbeaten at 4-0 in South Coast Conference North Division play. LA Harbor drops to 4-12 overall and 1-3 in the SCC South.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Mounties came out firing in the opening set, cruising to a 25-12 win behind a dominant .652 hitting percentage with 16 kills and just one error on 23 attempts. After an early 5-5 tie, Morgan Wilson's four-point service run helped Mt. SAC take control. Key kills from Sydney Valentine and Brittney Okorie widened the gap, followed by a five-point service streak from Kayla Staveley and strong net play from Emma Carson to make it 20-9. Bella Fairley sealed the set with a kill, giving Mt. SAC the early lead.

The second set mirrored the first with another 25-12 result. The Mounties doubled up the Seahawks in points, recording 13 kills on 29 attempts while holding LA Harbor to 7 kills on 31 swings. After an opening service error by LA Harbor, Kacey Worcester took over at the line to build an early advantage. Valentine added a pair of aces and teamed up with Carson and Worcester for key kills that kept momentum on Mt. SAC's side.

The third set proved the most competitive at 25-18, but the Mounties closed it out to complete the sweep. Veronica Estrada sparked an early 4-1 lead from the service line, though LA Harbor briefly pulled ahead midway through. Brianna Reyna and Isabella Ross delivered clutch service aces down the stretch, while Valentine continued her offensive dominance to secure the match.
