
Walnut, Calif. – Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball libero Mayah Tiscareno has been named the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA) State Player of the Week, following a string of standout performances that helped lead the Mounties to three consecutive victories.
The 5-foot-4 sophomore was a defensive anchor for Mt. SAC, totaling 70 digs across three matches, including an incredible 33-dig performance against Moorpark. Tiscareno also contributed 18 digs and two service aces in a win over Grossmont, while posting a sharp 2.92 passing average, showcasing her consistency in both back-row defense and serve receive.
Hailing from La Serna High School in Whittier, Tiscareno has been a steady presence for the Mounties all season. Through seven matches and 26 sets, she leads the team with 133 digs, averaging an impressive 5.12 digs per set, one of the top rates in the state. She's also contributed 11 service aces and 111 receptions, providing consistency in serve receive and helping anchor the Mounties' transition game.
Tiscareno's impact is undeniable - her quick reflexes, court awareness, and relentless effort have been key to Mt. SAC's early-season success.
