Walnut, Calif. – In their final home match of the regular season, the Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team delivered a dominant performance, sweeping East Los Angeles College in three straight sets with scores of 25-16, 25-21, and 25-11.

Itzel Aguayo led the charge with nine kills and three blocks, while Jordyn Romano contributed four kills and three blocks. Candace Ceballos added seven kills and five digs, and Emma Carson chipped in with four kills, three digs, and three aces. Setters Isabella Ross, Eva Becerra, and Jaylyn Zavala combined for 29 assists to keep the offense flowing smoothly.

In addition to their commanding victory, the evening was especially meaningful as the team, coaches, friends and family came together to celebrate Sophomore Night. The gym was decorated with posters, and Coaches Neely and Quinonez presented flowers and gifts to the sophomores who will not be returning next season.

A special shoutout to our sophomores—setters Eva Becerra and Jaylyn Zavala, middle blockers Jordyn Romano and Itzel Aguayo, outside hitter Candace Ceballos, right-side hitter Brianna De Jong, and libero Freda Lei. Thank you for the talent, leadership, and energy you've brought to the team. Keep up the great work, and we wish you continued success in both your academic and athletic careers.

The team will conclude the regular season with a doubleheader against Los Angeles City College on Wednesday, November 13. The SoCal Regional playoffs are set to begin on Saturday, November 23.
