(San Diego, CA) After starting the season with six consecutive wins, the Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball team suffered its first loss on Wednesday (Sept. 7) to San Diego Mesa College, 3-0.
The Olympians defeated Mt. SAC 25-22, 25-15, 25-12.
The Mounties were off to their best start since the 2016 season when they started with seven straight wins.
Leading the way for Mt. SAC was sophomore opposite Allison Whiteman with nine (.600) kills. JJ Quarrels (5 Digs) and Angelina Burton (2 D) had six and four kills, respectively for the Mounties.
Freshman setter Capri Salmon (2 D) had a team-high 18 assists. Riannel Arevalo and Riley DeGroot (2 K) added six digs apiece.
Mt. SAC travels to Grossmont College on Friday (Sept. 9) for matches against Moorpark and host Grossmont.
