(Whittier, CA) Tied 1-1 through two sets, Rio Hondo (12-10, 6-7) won the next two sets to defeat Mt. SAC, 3-1, in a South Coast Conference match on Wednesday night by the scores of 25-11, 23-25, 25-21, and 25-19.

Macy Barnes had 13 kills and 13 digs for the Mounties (8-16, 5-8), while teammates Jessica Morse had 10 kills and Ashly Velazquez had 12 digs.

Mt. SAC will conclude its regular-season schedule at home against Los Angeles Harbor College (11-10, 5-8) on Friday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. The Mounties defeated the Seahawks, 3-1, on Oct. 16 by the scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-12, and 25-21. The SCC post-season tournament will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
