(Rancho Cucamonga, CA) Chaffey College (8-1) handed visiting Mt. SAC (1-6) its fifth straight defeat, 3-0, by scores of 25-14, 25-19, and 25-17 on Wednesday evening.

Jocelyn Portillo led the Mounties with nine kills and 16 digs, while teammates Janderi Ceja and Juliana Gomez had six digs each. Ceja also accounted for 10 aces during the match, including five service aces. Azriel White pitched in with five aces of her own for Mt. SAC.

The Mounties will take a week off to prepare for the opening of their South Coast Conference schedule, which begins on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Long Beach (4-5), at 6 p.m.
