(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team snapped a five-match losing streak with a four-set win over L.A. Harbor College on Friday night, September 28th.

In the South Coast Conference crossover match, the Mounties (4-8) won by scores of 25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Leading the charge was middle blocker Shaianne Palos (4 digs) and outside hitter Jessica Morse with 12 and 10 kills, respectively.

Defensive specialist Malia Carr (3 service aces) had 27 digs for the Mounties and setter Brianda Valdez had 20 assists, five digs and three kills.

Mt. SAC middle blocker Lindsey Lane added six kills, while Kristi Mertins (2 block assists) and Alysha Tullar (assist, 6 digs) had five kills each.

The Mounties begin South Coast Conference North action next week with home matches against Rio Hondo (Oct. 3) and 2017 conference champion Pasadena City College (Oct. 5). Both matches begin at 6:00 p.m.
