(Whittier, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team finished the regular season with a flourish, winning five of the last six matches, including a 3-0 sweep of Rio Hondo in a South Coast Conference North match Tuesday night.

With the win the Mounties improve to 14-13 overall and 6-2 in conference.

The CCCAA will announce the post-season playoff schedule this week.

The 25-15, 25-15, 25-20 three-set sweep had 10 Mounties getting kills, with opposite Jada Sharpe (5 digs) leading the way with eight.

Outside hitters Sierra Lujan (8 digs, 2 service aces) and Angelique Lee (11 digs) each had five kills for the Mounties.

The assist leaders were setters Brianda Valdez (3 service aces, 7 digs) and Leslie Perez (9 digs) with 12 and 15 respectively.

Defensive specialist Malia Carr (1 kill, 1 service ace) had a match-high 15 digs.

As a team, the Mounties totaled 62 digs, 34 kills and 31 assists.
