Success in Field Events Leads the Way for Mt. SAC at Ben Brown Invitational

Fullerton, Calif. – The Mt. San Antonio College Women's Track and Field Team competed at the Ben Brown Invitational, hosted by Cal State Fullerton on March 7-8. The ladies went up against strong competition, including more experienced four-year schools, and secured a handful of top-10 finishes.

Maya Rush led the way with a standout performance in the javelin, claiming first place with an impressive throw of 132' 2". Her teammates also performed well with Camryn Calderon placing 4th with a throw of 97' 3", while Phoenix Raso secured 7th with a mark of 92' 2".

Carlota Roma Rega cleared 5' 1.25" in the high jump, earning 9th place. In the pole vault, Samantha Diener and Sofia Di Marco both cleared 10' 6", placing 7th and 8th, respectively. Annah-Bryce Wright soared to a 6th-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 17' 4.25".

The 4x100 relay team of Leila Champion, Enessah Hawkins, Bianca Peralta, and Megan Stauffer clocked in at 48.71 seconds, securing 8th place. In the 4x400 relay, Karrina Mackey, Stauffer, Champion, and Alyssah Johnson finished 9th with a time of 4:11.93.

The Mounties will compete in the Riverside City College Open on Friday, March 14.
