Mt. SAC Women's Track and Field performs well at Cuyamaca Invitational

(El Cajon, CA) The Mt. San Antonio College Women's Track and Field Team competed in the 2023 Cuyamaca Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 11, and took first in 11, second in eight, and third in seven events.

First-place finishes for the Mounties included Sahira Lepes Sanchez (hammer, discus, shot put), Ahnyx Bush (triple jump, long jump), Bailie Horton (pole vault), Aaliyah Mendoza (high jump), Hannah Brown (3000 meters), Natalyn Membreno (1500 meters), Charisma Collins (400 meters), and Jaiden Hill (200 meters).

Mt. SAC second-place finishes were turned in by Tatiana Sprock (100 meters, 200 meters), Yasmeen Delgado (400 meters), Brown (1500 meters), Shandy Moore (3000 meters), Summer Stevenson (long jump), Aaliyah Smith (discus), and Brooke Shiflett (javelin).

Performances from Shiflett (hammer), Danielle Palmer (shot put), McKenna Venegas (long jump), Faythe Berge (pole vault), Karla Galvan (3000 meters), Cassandra Apahidean (1500 meters), and Jordan Garcia (400 meters) earned the Mounties third-place finishes.
