Defending state champion Mountie Women's Track starts season at Moorpark Season Opener

(Moorpark, CA) Mt. San Antonio College began its state title defense at the Moorpark College Season Opener on Friday, Feb. 3, where the Mounties placed first in seven events, second in four and third in three.

Jaiden Hill (300 meters), Yasmeen Delgado (600 meters), Faythe Burge (pole vault), Ahnyx Bush (long jump, triple jump), and Sahira Lepes Sanchez (discus, hammer) turned in first-place finishes for Mt. SAC.

Hill (60 meters), Charisma Collins (300 meters), Bailie Horton (pole vault), and Sahira Lepes Sanchez (shot put) were the Mounties who took second in their events.

Third-place finishes for Mt. SAC included Tatiana Sprock (pole vault), McKenna Venegas (long jump), and Lesly Lepes Sanchez (hammer).

On Saturday, Feb. 11, the Mounties will compete in the South Coast Conference Season Opener at Cerritos College.
